Editor review
Hex Rotate is a hex-cluster rotation arcade where you rotate three-hex groups to align colour matches. Fifty levels across three colour-set themes. The format is the rare hex-rotation game that gets the input feel right.
What works is the rotation responsiveness. Each tap rotates a cluster sixty degrees with appropriate animation. The animation is fast enough to feel responsive, slow enough to read the new state.
Fifty levels with colour-count progression. Tier one has three colours; tier three has six. The combinatorics grow steadily.
Tested over a week of Warsaw Metro commute sessions between Centrum and Bemowo. Touch tap is the natural input. Mouse-click also works on desktop.
Where the design earns its rating is the puzzle construction. Each level has a unique optimal solution. Sub-optimal solutions clear the level but with lower scores.
Where I would push back is the absence of a daily challenge. The format would suit a daily-puzzle pattern. Fixed fifty-level campaign caps long-term replay.
Four stars. Solid hex-rotation arcade with disciplined input feel and level construction.
