Editor review
Pendulum Hour is a rhythm-arcade with pendulum-swing visualisation. Tap on the beat to keep the pendulum moving. Thirty tracks across three tempo themes. The format is competent rhythm gameplay with a clock-mechanic visual hook.
What works is the visual-audio sync. The pendulum apex flashes precisely on each beat. Players develop intuition for the rhythm within a few tracks.
Thirty tracks with tempo progression. Slow tempos are forgiving; fast tempos require focused attention.
Tested over two Warsaw weekend cafe sessions. Touch tap is the natural input. Mouse-click also works.
Where the game starts to feel thin is the absence of beat-pattern variation. Every track uses the same on-beat tap mechanic. No half-beats, no syncopation, no chord-like multi-tap moments.
Where I would push back is the campaign length. Thirty tracks is short for the format. Sixty tracks with rhythm variations would have justified the visual investment more fully.
Three stars. Functional pendulum-rhythm arcade. Limited by mechanical thinness.
